CHAIRMAN OF EUROPEAN COUNCIL ON TOURISM AND TRADE VISITS TURKMENISTAN SCENIC SPOTS
The month of April 2015 was witnessing extremely important events in the Central Asia tourism dynamics.
European Tourism Council President received in traditional manner on Ashgabat
Amongst Central Asian nations Turkmenistan is making headway with Ashgabad becoming the first ever WORLD CAPITAL OF CULTURE AND TOURISM and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov named as Academician of European Tourism Academy and recognized as a World Leader in Tourism (2011).
With European Council on Tourism and Trade support and promotion Turkmenistan registered more than 1 million tourist`s per year.
ECTT President and Minister of Economy of Turkmenistan are holding regular consultation.
Turkmenistan is also receiving on yearly basis since 2010 an European Council on Tourism and Trade delegation for a familiarization trip.

The tourism and cultural relations between Europe and Turkmenistan had entered into a new phase with the presence of the 5th European Council on Tourism and Trade (ECTT) delegation in Turkmenistan.
The delegation toured Turkmenistan touristic facilities and hot spots in the framework of the annual ECTT visit during 6 to 12 April 2015.
Under the leadership of H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, President of European Council on Tourism and Trade, the European tourism delegation had marked the continuous development of the tourism cooperation between Europe and Turkmenistan.

During the latest five cultural delegation` s European Council on Tourism and Trade has contributed with ideas and information’s to important tourism, cultural and academic events held in Turkmenistan under the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov supervision such as: Oguznama International Conference , Ethnography Congress of Turkmenistan , International Congress of the 15 Anniversary of Turkmenistan Neutrality , Turkmenistan in the Epoch of New Revival and finally the International Congress dedicated to life and work of world renamed Turkmen poet: Nurmuhammet Andalip.
Professor Dr. Anton Caragea and European Council on Tourism and Trade delegation visited the world heritage UNESCO site of Kunya-Urgench where they participated at the festivity dedicated to the great Turkmen poet Nurmuhammet Andalip works and visited the world renowned monuments of Sultan Tekesh, Sultan Ahmad and famous Sufi philosopher Nedjmedin Kubra.

The European Council on Tourism and Trade delegation was received by Turkmen Parliament Presidency and hold talks at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy of Turkmenistan.
The parties had agreed on intensifying the bilateral relation, the tourism relation`s between Turkmenistan and European Council on Tourism and Trade being considered as excellent and was emphasized the need to foster economical cooperation dimension on bilateral relations.
During the dialogue with Turkmen authorities H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, President of European Council on Tourism and Trade was presented with the framework of State Committee for Tourism of Turkmenistan, who was established in 2012 and to the significance of the Committee for the Awaza National Tourist Zone.

During next year (2016) visit to Turkmenistan H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, President of European Council on Tourism and Trade promised that the familiarization trip will concentrate on Awaza tourist potential and will direct an awareness campaign for this region.
Turkmenistan Minister of Foreign Affairs who hosted the European Council on Tourism and Trade familiarization trip to country express his appreciation for the long term support and commitment offered by European Council on Tourism and Trade for tourism activities in Turkmenistan and for promoting the high standing of the country in the world and for promoting Turkmenistan as a safe and cultural first class destination in the world.
CASPIAN SEA VACATION CENTRE PROMOTED BY EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF TOURISM AND TRADE
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had decided in 2011 to build and international promote a special Caspian Sea, all year round, resort named “Awaza” National Tourist Zone development.

The plans were supported by the expertise and cooperation of a European Council on Tourism and Trade (ECTT) delegation that visited the country in 2010 and 2011.In the present stage of development , in Awaza has over 30 hospitality objects fully functioning – comfortable hotels, recreation and health centers, cottage complexes, and other objects of the tourist infrastructure; they are capable to accommodate over 7,000 holiday-makers.
During summer season with European Council on Tourism and Trade promotion support, they are working to full capacity.
Since this year’s summer, with launching of the yacht-club, completely new for Turkmenistan sports – windsurfing, yachting and sailing, other water sports – are opened of the guests of resort.

Intensive development of the pastime and amusements industry, the growing increase of the quality and range of services motivate the inflow of tourists to “Awaza” resort, which increases constantly its demand-driven occupancy capacities to meet the demands of various categories of holiday makers.
Thus, the projects of high-class five-star hotels (300-350-seat capacity), a network of economy-class hotels (3,000-seat total capacity), a many-profile sport complex, aqua park and the park with game attractions, new green-zone projects, and the projects of the artificial Awaza River shores landscaping were submitted to the Head of State for consideration.
The tourist inflow increase will entail increase of the number of service personnel of different specialization; many new jobs will appear in the course of the resort infrastructure development.
For the tourists travelling by car, one more many-tier parking ground will be built in “Avaza”.In the course of new projects presentation ceremony, the project of one more pleasure boat was submitted to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration.
To advance the marine intercity transport system, construction of marine passenger terminals is projected in the towns of Turkmenbashi and Hazar, and Gyzylsuv settlement .
Having approved the majority of the projects presented, the President of Turkmenistan gave a start for launching them by signing the relevant Resolutions. Thus, in compliance with the documents, in August of 2015, three new high-class (300-seat and more capacity) will be put into operation in the “Awaza” National Tourist Zone.
The European Council on Tourism and Trade delegation will attend the opening of the new resort and will outline new proposal for Turkmenistan President consideration.

COTNARI HOUSE OF WINE IS PRESENTING THE DIPLOMATIC WINE FOR 2015 AT EUROPEAN COUNCIL EVENT

EUROPEAN COUNCIL ON TOURISM AND TRADE IS SPONSORING 2015 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WORLD PROTECTED AREAS AND NATURAL AREAS
The second world celebration of International Day of World Protected Areas and National Parks, inspired by Professor Dr. Anton Caragea-Goodwill Ambassador for World Protected Areas and National Parks was dedicated to attract the world attention to the issue of establishing and protecting natural areas and parks for the benefit of future generation and as an intricate part in sustainable development and in tourism development.
On March 18, 2015 will be celebrated for the second time, across the world, the International Day of World Protected Areas and National Parks.
After being held for the first time last year at the indications of European Council on Tourism and Trade Last, efforts are made to proclaim it as the International Day at the 70th General Assembly of United Nations (UN).
In 2014 the day was dedicated to the efforts in tourism and environmental protection of Peoples Democratic Republic of Laos and in 2015 the model of tourism and protection of national parks of Zimbabwe will be highlighted.
The Day of 18 March is to be marked every year to underline the importance of world protected areas and natural parks in the conservation of bio-diversity, in promoting environmental protection and awareness and avoiding economic exploitation and depletion of this areas.

According to the decision from 18 March 2013 of European Council on Tourism and Trade President Office, each year on 18 March, the world will celebrate world protected areas and natural parks and will raise awareness of the importance of every country establishing such areas and register them in a word data base and to control the economic activities in this areas and also support and promote tourism in this areas as a powerful economic promotion tool.
The decision decree of European Council on Tourism and Trade President, Professor Dr. Anton Caragea remarks the fact that: 18 March is a day of action, for the establishment and protection of world natural areas, for the promotion of bio-diversity, as a powerful promotion tool for tourism activities.
Also is worth considering that according to the executive order, all the tourism prizes and recognition offered by European Tourism Organization will have to incorporate the respect for world protected areas and natural parks.
The country celebrated today across Europe is the Republic of Zimbabwe, the receiver of WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION AWARD for 2014.
Zimbabwe had actively tackled the issue of natural areas protection and the title was regarded as an encouragement for continuing actions on the field of world natural protected areas.
The 2015 recipient of WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION will also have to endeavor to promote bio-diversity protection or to support the establishment of natural protected areas and parks, as a tool for protecting nature and supporting sustainable development stated Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.
The event held on 18 March 2015, had united under the title of International Day of World Protected Areas and National Parks more than 26 ambassadors and diplomatic envoys to the headquarter of European Council on Tourism and Trade.
The event contained a speech by Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, ECTT President reflecting the importance of world protected areas and natural parks, the screening of a movie regarding ZIMBABWE- WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION FOR 2014 achievements on the field of natural conservation.
Other allocutions where held by Academician Mircea Constantinescu, European MP`s: Steliana Miron, Ionita Dan, Marcel Dumitru Bujor etc. and by presentations of the environmental situation in their country held by the ambassadors of Morocco, Malaysia, Macedonia and Cyprus etc.

In the concluding part of the meeting a congratulatory message was adopted to President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, the receiver of WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION AWARD IN 2014 and the President of African Union urging further cooperation on tourism and environmental issues.

EUROPEAN COUNCIL ON TOURISM AND TRADE RECEIVES CANDIDATURES FROM 43 STATES FOR WORLD BEST TOURISM DESTINATION AND WORLD CAPITAL OF CULTURE AND TOURISM FOR 2015

WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION AWARD had become a center of international tourism recognition in the last span of time.
After obtaining the highest world tourism accolade in 2012, the nation island of Trinidad and Tobago becomes the only Caribbean nation that registered tourism increase in the region.
In 2013 People Democratic Republic of Laos registered a plus of over 1,5 million tourists in the first year and a 7% increase in GDP, due to mounting tourism revenues and Zimbabwe: the 2014 winner rose from zero to hero, in tourism statistics after snatching the world best tourism destination designation.

This string of tourism success stories made 29 countries to start registering their candidatures for WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION AWARD in 2015 more early than ever.
Already countries from Central and South America had put forward their touristic potential with a mind blowing extravaganza at Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest where eight Latin American and Caribbean countries outlined their touristic, artistic and cultural potential for European Council on Tourism and Trade election committee.
ECTT President Anton Caragea highly praised their demonstration as a perfect display of Latin American cultural and touristic prowess that will be seriously regarded by the prize committee.
African countries fallow rapidly with: Nigeria, Congo DRC and Algeria taking the leading role in outlining their candidatures for WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION in 2015.
Middle Eastern countries have outlined also their fantastic touristic and cultural potential with: Turkey, Egypt, Palestine and Jordan in the vanguard of outlining their powerful cultural asset and explaining their security measures put in place to make tourism feel safe and secure and enjoy a well deserve vacation on sandy beaches of Sharm El Sheik or Alexandria of Egypt, discovering ancient cities of Petra and Jerash in Jordan or the Cappadocia coast in Turkey.
The Central Asian countries tourism potential is expecting to be discovered by the Kazakhstan candidature that is bringing the potential of Caspian Sea, the beauty of Astana-the XXI century capital of the country and the impressive historical legacy of Turkestan-candidate city to WORLD CAPITAL OF CULTURE AND TOURISM IN 2015.
In total an initial number of 29 country early bird registered their candidatures, appreciated Mrs. Teodora Nicolae-press officer ECTT and we are expecting that by the end of January 2015, when we will close the registration process we will have even more candidatures.
Many contenders for the title opted to register their capitals or other landmark cities or regions for WORLD CAPITAL OF CULTURE AND TOURISM IN 2015, noted Mrs. Ioana Rosu, responsible for collecting the candidatures for WORLD CAPITAL OF CULTURE AND TOURISM IN 2015 cities, which is a first.
In total 14 cities and region`s from across the globe, aspire for the world famous designation.
Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had stated that: the evaluation process is already started and it is an ongoing research and decision activity.
We will have also countries that will be approach by us, to take part in the selection process, in order to obtain a balanced geographical distribution of the winners of WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION and we will consider as always where we can have the biggest impact in promoting a new destination like in Trinidad, in promoting rural and social tourism, like in Lao PDR or rebranding a country and reasserting it in the world tourism field like in Zimbabwe case.

MR. DELEANU VICTOR IS CROWNED AS BEST WINE MAKER FOR 2014
On 6 December 2014, on the ceremony to present the Best European Wines and on the venue for unveiling the DIPLOMATIC WINE for 2015, Mr. Victor Deleanu-Chairman of the COTNARI-House of Wines, the author of the European wine`s ilk’s revolution, received in a festive ambiance the title for BEST WINEMAKER OF THE YEAR.

Chairman Victor Deleanu is recognized as the BEST WINEMAKER OF THE YEAR (2014).
Over 20 diplomats from three continents, plus European and Romanian officials and European parliamentarians where present on the venue in order to try out the wines created by the oenological specialists of COTNARI- House of Wines, wines crowned as the DIPLOMATIC WINE of 2015.
Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, President of European Council on Tourism and Trade has complimented the exertions of Chairman Victor Deleanu to promote the European wines, wines of exceptional quality thru the world and his decision to unleash the revolution of the European traditional wines assortments.
This wine revolution hopes to place in the first rank of the wine making process the assortment of the grape, the aroma and the persistence naturally present in the Europe and Romanian wipe grapes.

One of the creations of Mr. Victor Deleanu-Grasa de Cotnari (Fat Lady of Cotnari) is universally recognized as a perfect wine.
Based on this grapes, exceptional wines can be carved out, this is the manifest credo of the owner and wine creator of Cotnari-House of Wines-Mr. Victor Deleanu, creed validated by the election of his wines as the BEST EUROPEAN WINE for 2015-DIPLOMATIC WINE.

The unveiling of the title for WINEMAKER of THE YEAR for 2014 and the public presentation of best European wines had succeeded in gathering in the same spot the wine connoisseur’s community of Europe, Romania and the entire world on the venue of the International Wine Fair.

Diplomats from Europe, Asia and Africa, members of European Council on Tourism and Trade, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and countless personalities had convened on the spot, eager to know the names of 2014 best of wines and their makers.
The organizers decided that: the name of the BEST WINEMAKERS should be accompanied by the tasting of their prized creations.
The award ceremony and the tasting session had commenced by a Feteasca Neagra (Black Girl) from Dominium series of Cotnari House of Wine, a perfect red wine that encompassed with distinction the work of the wining George Malutan, the winner of WINEMAKER of THE YEAR designation.
