GLOBAL TOURISM LEADERS AND PRESIDENTS ARE LAUDING PRIME MINISTER HUN SEN ON LEGITIMATE ELECTORAL TRIUMPH

Leaders from far and wide had rushed to offer their congratulations to Samdech Academician HUN SEN for his victory in 2018 National Election hailed as democratic and open by the global community: China, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Philippines to name but a few, were quick to pay their homage to the most popular and loved political figure of today`s Cambodia. 




The world cultural and tourism institutionsEuropean Council on Tourism and Trade(ECTT) and European Tourism Academy have presented the official messages of congratulation on the occasion of the reelection of H.E. Academician HUN SEN as the Prime Minister of Kingdom of Cambodia.


Prime Minister HUN SEN has succeeded in obtaining an approval rating of 78% in the VI National Election of Cambodia, election considered by the international community as the freest and fairest in the nation`s history and was asked by H.M. King Norodom Sihamoni to create the new royal government for the next five years.


ECTT President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea was the first world leader to offer his congratulations to H.E. Academician Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia after the landslide victory that confirmed him to retain premiership for another five years.



President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea to Prime Minister Academician Hun Sen: electing you at the helm of the country, the people of Cambodia had made the wise choice of development and growth and democracy against war, disaster and incertitude. 



The congratulatory message reads: On the occasion of Your victory on the VI NATIONAL ASSEMBLY election and Your re-election as Prime Minister of Kingdom of Cambodia, I want to express the international community and academic community warmest appreciation for the overwhelming support manifested by the people of Cambodia for your agenda of transformation and development.(..)


Electing Your Excellency at the helm of the country, the people of Cambodia had made the wise choice of development and growth and democracy against war, disaster and incertitude.

The free and democratic elections have given Your Excellency the full mandate to reshape Cambodia and to continue to provide leadership and opportunities for the people of Cambodia.

Your Excellency, I strongly believe that you would extend your continuous support and cooperation to the promotion of peace, political stability and development of Cambodia.



In his replay, Prime Minister Hun Sen expressed his: gratitude for the cordial message of felicitations that you kindly extended to me personally and the Cambodian people`s party…your witnessing and assessment on the national election have certainly reflected a strong credibility of Cambodia`s electoral process in a peaceful, smooth, free and fair manner.


This is a justice you have given to the people of Cambodia to demonstrate to the international community the genuineness of the functioning democracy in Cambodia. Your Excellency, I strongly believe that you would extend your continuous support and cooperation to the promotion of peace, political stability and development of Cambodia.


President Dr. Anton Caragea message was the first to reach Samdech Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of Cambodia after the victory in the elections of July 2018, elections considered as the most democratically in the kingdom history.


Accordingly to official Cambodian State News Agency after the message of H.E. President Dr. Anton Caragea, new messages of support had come from more than 30 leaders in the order being: President Xi Jinping of China, Prime Minister of Laos and Vietnam, Prime Minister of Thailand, Prime Minister of Japan and Narendra Moodi, Indian premier.



Chinese leadership: President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang were quick to congratulate the victory of Academician Hun Sen in July 29 democratic elections.




Chinese President Xi Jinping said he is glad to see that in recent years, under the leadership of Hun Sen, Cambodia has achieved political stability, rapid economic development, continuous improvement of its international status, and gratifying achievements in various fields.


The July 29, 2018, parliamentary elections have concluded with a rate of participation of 83% and were supervised by 160.000 internal and international electoral monitors from 56 countries.

LE MINISTRE CAMBODGIEN DU TOURISME DR. THONG KHON NOMME MEMBRE DE L`ACADEMIE EUROPEENNE DU TOURISME. UN MOMENT DE FIERTE NATIONALE

Le ministre du tourisme du Cambodge, Dr. Thong Khon est devenu membre de l’Académie européenne du tourisme ce matin dans une ceremonie remplie de fierté nationale.





La cérémonie de désignation s’est tenue à Phnom Penh sous la présidence du vice-Premier ministre Hor Namhong, représentant du Premier ministre Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sèn, et le Prof. Dr Anton Caragea, président du Conseil européen du tourisme et du commerce.


S’adressant à cette occasion, Hor Namhong a exprimé sa ferme conviction que la coopération entre le ministère cambodgien du Tourisme et le Conseil européen du tourisme et du commerce transformerait le Cambodge en une destination touristique de classe mondiale.


Il a aussi souligné l’importance du secteur touristique dans le développement socio-économique du Cambodge à travers la création d’emplois, l’augmentation des revenus directs, etc.





Selon le ministre du Tourisme, Thong Khon, le tourisme a été considéré par le gouvernement royal du Cambodge comme de l’« Or vert ». L’année dernière, 5,6 millions de touristes étrangers ont visité le Royaume, soit une hausse de 11,8% par rapport à l’an dernier, rapportant ainsi quelque 3,63 milliards de dollars américains comme revenu à l’Etat et plus de 620.000 emplois directs.


Au cours des cinq premiers mois de cette année, le Cambodge a attiré 2,6 millions de visiteurs étrangers, une augmentation de 13,5% par rapport à la période correspondante de l’année dernière. Le chiffre atteindrait, a-t-on estimé, environ 6,2 millions d’ici la fin de l’année et 7 millions en 2020, rapportant environ 5 milliards de dollars comme revenus et créant environ 1 million d’emplois directs.


En 2030, le pays compte accueillir 15 millions de touristes internationaux avec un revenu estimé à 10 milliards de dollars pour le pays et deux millions d’emplois directs pour les habitants locaux.


Pour les touristes locaux, le nombre a augmenté à plus de 10,8 millions en 2017 avec une croissance annuelle de 4%-5% en moyenne. 


Vers fin de 2018, plus de 11 millions de Cambodgiens se rendraient dans différentes destinations touristiques du pays et ce chiffre devrait atteindre 19 millions en 2025.

CAMBODIAN TOURISM MINISTER DR. THONG KHON NOMINATED MEMBER OF EUROPEAN TOURISM ACADEMY. A MOMENT OF NATIONAL PRIDE!

Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon became a member of the European Tourism Academy this morning.


The designation ceremony was held in Phnom Penh under the presidency of Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hor Namhong, representative of Prime Minster Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, and visiting H.E. Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea, President of the European Council on Tourism and Trade.



Addressing to the function, H.E. Hor Namhong expressed his strong belief that the cooperation between the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism and the European Council on Tourism and Trade will transform Cambodia into a world-class tourist destination.


He also laid stress on the significance of tourism sector in the socio-economic development of Cambodia through job creation, direct income augmentation and so on.


According to Tourism Minister H.E. Thong Khon, tourism has been regarded by the Royal Government of Cambodia as “Green Gold”. Last year, 5.6 million foreign tourists visited the Kingdom, a year-on-year increase of 11.8 percent, generating some US$3.63 billion as national income and over 620,000 direct jobs.



For the first five months of this year, Cambodia attracted 2.6 million foreign visitors, up 13.5 percent compared with the same period last year. The figure is expected to rise to about 6.2 million by the end of this year and to 7 million in 2020, generating about US$5 billion income and creating some 1 million direct jobs.


By 2030, the country looks forward to hosting 15 million international tourists bringing about an estimated income of US$10 billion for the country and two million direct jobs for the locals.


For local tourists, the number rose to more than 10.8 million in 2017 with an annual increase of 4-5 percent on average. By the end of 2018, over 11 million Cambodians are expected to travel to different tourist destinations in the country and the figure would grow to 19 million in 2025.

CUBA NOMINATED FOR FAVORITE CULTURAL DESTINATION AWARD

The official candidature of The Republic of Cuba for FAVORITE CULTURAL DESTINATION IN THE WORLD and WORLD TOURISM DESTINATION AWARD was accepted and dully registered, being the last candidature accepted for 2018/2019 tourism year announced the Office of The President of European Council on Tourism and Trade.


On this occasion, H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, President of European Council on Tourism and Trade has wished full success for the country international recognition in the field of tourism.




Are we looking at the next FAVORITE CULTURAL DESTINATION?



On the occasion of the arrival of the new ambassador of Cuba,  H.E. Roberto César Hamilton MAGAÑA, the official audience with the President of European Council on Tourism and Trade, H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea has taken place.


The presentation and cooperation meeting was focused on the tourism potential of the Caribbean island, recovery of the tourism industry after Irma hurricane and opportunities for investment in tourism industry on Cuba after the latest legal and constitutional framework changes and the chances of the beautiful hot-spot to be named as WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION.


H.E. Roberto César Hamilton MAGAÑA, the new Ambassador of Cuba, has outlined the changes in property laws, the acceptance of private property and is guarantee by the state and the special support offered for hotel and hospitality chains interested in investing in the booming Cuban tourism sector.


The bilateral discussion, has marked the debut of mandate for H.E. Roberto César Hamilton MAGAÑA and H.E. ECTT President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, has officially presented the congratulations for the start of mandate of the new ambassador noting the world tourism institution hopes for a fruitful cooperation and also has marked the official congratulations for the new Head of State of The Republic of Cuba: H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel – President of Council of State and Council of Ministers.


H.E. President Dr. Anton Caragea had addressed the official congratulation message for the newly elected President of Cuba H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel.



The election of the new Cuban leader is a testimony of the desire of Cuba to continue on the path of revolution and to foster new development ways while maintaining the legacy and conquest of the Revolution, underlined Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.


Our desires for bilateral cooperation and consolidated relations expressed in our official message from 2017 addressed to Comrade Raul Castro are still present and representing our vision in the bilateral relations stated the President of European Council on Tourism and Trade.
